Limited and Very Conditional Love

Today while talking to a dear friend I realized that being real with each other is a choice we make. It is a tremendous gift being able as Christian leaders to recognized that we are flaw, that we need each other, that we need to be honest in order to be real. But I was also remainded that you cannot be real with everybody but to those who are also recognizing their own brokenness. It is ok for me and for you to struggle, it is ok to know that we need more of Him every day, every hour and every minute. Struggling is not a curse, it is a remainder of our humanity and our humanity is not punishment, it is a great gift. Henry Nouwen says in his book In The Name of Jesus, "The mystery of ministry is that we have been chosen to make our own limited and very conditional love the gateway for the unlimited and uncondtional love of God"

Hoy mientras hablaba con un buen amigo me di cuenta que el ser real unos a otros es una desicion que tomamos. Es un gran regalo el que como lideres Cristianos podamos reconocer nuestras defectos, que nos necesitamos, que neesitamos ser honestos para ser reales. Pero tambien me recordaron que no podemos ser reales con toda la gente pero solo con aquellos que puedan reconocer su propio quebrantamiento. Esta bien que tu o yo batallemos, esta bien que necesitemos de EL todos los días, todas las horas, todos los minutos. Batallar no es una maldición, es un recordatorio de nuestra humanidad y nuestra humanidad no es un castigo, es un gran regalo. Henry Nouwen dice en su libro En el Nombre de Jesús, "El misterio del ministro es que hemos sido escogidos para hacer de nuestro limitado y muy condicional amor la puerta para el ilimitado e incondicional amor de Dios"
